Contour Gauge 5-Inch with Lock

Odd corners around door casing and hydronic pipe runs make floor cuts slow. We set these teeth in a stiff spine with a mechanical lock so you can press the row against the woodwork and walk back to the saw without losing the curve. The pencil line goes straight onto your board.

What this one is built to do

Locking the row

Flip the side lever once the plastic teeth bottom out against the moulding. The clamp holds the row firm while you lift it off the wall and set it flat over your flooring blank.

Adjusting the friction

The end bolts let you reset how stiff the teeth slide after months of sitting in the bottom of a tool bucket. Tighten them when the teeth drift or back them off when they bind.

Tracing odd shapes

Winding heating lines, circular duct collars, and old baseboard profiles copy straight onto tile, sheet vinyl, or laminate. You press the face into the obstruction, scribe the line, and cut the waste.

Tough plastic teeth

The body and the individual fingers are molded from ABS plastic that does not rust when laid across damp mudroom slabs or cold plumbing. Wipe the grit off with a rag before storing.
