Solar House Number 6, Nine-Inch

Finding a dark driveway from the road usually means creeping along the curb with your high beams on. We built this tall digit to sit flat against your siding or post, soaking up the afternoon sun and switching itself on when the street lamps flicker to life. Your drill is all you need to supply.

What this one is built to do

Sunlight on the panel

The top face carries a weather-coated panel that drinks in daylight without running wires through your exterior walls. An internal sensor reads the dusk and turns the warm backlighting on until dawn breaks across the roofline.

Visible from the road

The tall black face stands out sharp against siding or brick during bright afternoons. Once darkness drops, the backlight kicks on behind the frame so drivers can spot your address without slowing down to a crawl.

Built for outdoor walls

We molded the housing from tough outdoor resin that handles summer sun, wet autumn leaves, and freezing winter rain. The front keeps its deep black finish rather than fading or turning brittle after months on an exposed wall.

What comes in box

The package holds the mounting hardware and a paper alignment guide to mark your pilot holes. You supply the cordless drill and the bit, then sink the screws directly into your porch pillar, siding, or mailbox post.
