Stick Welder with Five-Pound Rod Pack
A portable stick welding unit boxed together with five pounds of carbon steel rods for quick repairs on gates and brackets.
We built this handheld welder to handle broken brackets, loose hinges, and small steel patches around the garage. It arrives with a set of electrodes and a single small pack of rods so you can start working on mild steel right away.

The adjustment dial changes the heat output across distinct steps. Finding the right setting for thin tube or flat bar takes a few test passes on scrap iron, but it keeps the arc steady once set.
Internal inverter circuits help strike and hold the bead with less spatter. It maintains an even puddle across mild steel joints without sticking every time you touch the tip down on the seam.
The included carbon steel rods run on flat seams, upright corners, and overhead joints. They light quickly and fill uneven gaps where cut edges do not meet up square.
The welder, electrodes, and rod bundle come together in the box. You still need your own dark helmet, chipping hammer, wire brush, and thick leather gloves before striking the first arc on the bench.
