What this one is built to do
Matching heads and segments
Five separate head assemblies screw right onto the tool nose. Each segmented head expands outward together, widening the flexible sleeve and tubing wall so your barbed fittings slide in before the plastic snaps back.
Aluminum body and steel cone
The body is light aluminum alloy that will not drag your arms down overhead. Inside, a chrome-plated spring steel cone drives the spreading segments apart smoothly against the firm tension of the tube.
Dedicated pipe cutter included
A clean square end makes a true joint. We drop a dedicated tubing shear into the molded tray beside the main tool, saving you from chasing a pocket knife across the floorboards.
Lubricant in the box
Expanding dry tubing wears on metal cone faces. We pack a small tube of lubricant in the case so the expander segments slide out smoothly each time you squeeze the long handles together.
