Propane Torch for Grill and Campfire

Wet firewood and stubborn charcoal chimney starters usually take too long with newspaper. We built this torch head to thread onto standard propane bottles and light with a direct push. The brass valve dials the flame down for searing a steak or wide open for thawing outdoor spigots.

What this one is built to do

Lighting and preheating

The nozzle throws a focused blue cone that catches hardwood splits and lump coal without kindling. It also puts enough concentrated heat into thick steel stock to preheat a weld joint on the garage floor.

Fuel connection

The threaded base twists directly onto standard propane cylinders you keep for camp stoves. The valve wheel opens with a thumb roll, and the igniter sparks without matches or a separate striker.

Balanced barrel reach

The long metal barrel keeps the tip out where you want the heat while your hand stays back on the molded grip. It sits level in one hand when swung toward ground level or into a fire pit.

Flame adjustment knob

A turn of the rear knob tightens the flame to a fine point or opens it wide for clearing gravel paths. The valve shuts the gas flow down tight when the burn is done.
