E6013 Welding Rods, 3/32-Inch, 1 lb

These electrodes run on low carbon steel when you have a broken gate hinge or a lawn mower deck to mend. The arc lights with a quick tap on small home machines, even when the joint has a little gap to bridge.

What this one is built to do

Running on thin stock

The shallow bite suits sheet metal, small square tube, and light brackets where a deeper rod would blow clean through the seam. It bridges small gaps without sagging.

Striking the arc

A quick scratch starts the arc on alternating or direct current. The rod keeps burning smoothly on small garage units that struggle to run heavier stick electrodes.

Welding in any position

You can run beads flat on the bench, horizontal on a frame rail, or vertical down a fence post. The puddle freezes fast enough to stay where you lay it.

Chipping off the slag

The flux leaves a brittle crust over the bead that flakes off with light taps from a chipping hammer. It keeps cleanup at the wire wheel brief before paint.
