Garden Kneeler and Seat, 500-Pound Frame, Basic

Ground work slows down when getting up and down takes more effort than the weeding itself. We shaped the frame out of round steel tubing with high side rails to push off of, and we padded the center board. Flip the whole frame upside down and it turns into a low garden stool for clipping bushes.

What this one is built to do

Flips in one turn

Set it legs down to sit above wet dirt while clipping low branches. Roll the frame upside down when the dandelions need digging, and the pad drops close to the turf while the rails become sturdy arm rests.

Tubing to lean on

The side bars give both palms a solid place to push when standing up from the soil. The steel supports your weight without digging thin edges into your hands, even after an hour between the tomato rows.

Padded center board

The center bench carries a firm foam pad that cushions your knees against gravel, mulch, and buried stones. It stays attached when you flip the frame, so the seat and the kneeling pad are the exact same surface.

Folds flat for winter

Squeeze the spring legs and fold the side frames inward over the pad. The whole bench collapses flat enough to hang on a single wall peg or slide between the mower and the workbench until next spring.
