What this one is built to do
Hook backing grip
Each bonnet presses straight onto the textured face of the pad and stays flat while the head spins. You pull the edge up with a thumb to swap it out when wax starts caking in the fibers.
Moving through steps
Having several bonnets on the bench lets you dedicate one to cutting compound, another to fine polish, and a clean one to buffing out dry wax. You avoid mixing different pastes on the same wheel.
Compound on your shelf
The pack includes only the fabric bonnets. The rubbing paste, bottle of carnauba wax, and the handheld buffer tool come off your own garage shelf before you start on the tailgate.
Rinsing the pile
When a panel is done, wash the loaded bonnets in a bucket of warm water by hand and squeeze them out flat on the bench. Let them dry before the next waxing session.
